We do not require Lessonpal tutors to use a particular platform. Each teacher and student may have their preferred platform based on their unique needs.
Make sure to discuss this ahead of time with your student to see what they prefer. One of the most popular platforms is Zoom. It’s free to make a Zoom account, and it has helpful features like screen sharing and a chatbox.
If you plan on conducting lessons longer than 40 minutes, you can get a paid version of Zoom or consider trying platforms such as FaceTime, Google Meet, Skype, WebEx, or experimenting with a different platform to find what works best for you and your students.
